An update of Google Toolbar for Firefox brings wonderful feature to the Firefox web browser, with the second beta release, Google has added a personalized new tab feature to their Firefox toolbar. Just like in Google Chrome, everytime you open a new tab you’ll get a thumbnail view of your favorite sites. Not only do you get a quick visual overview of your recent most visited sites, but you can also take a quick look at recent bookmarks and recently closed tabs, if you want to remove a particular site, then you can make use of “Edit thumbnails” link that is located at the bottom of the “Most visited” tab that appears.

To disable the ‘most visited’ thumbnails in firefox, click tools, add-ons. Once the you see the add-ons, look for the ‘google toolbar for firefox’ and click on its options. In the options under the search tab uncheck ‘enable google new tab page’ and press save. All done, you wont see the most visited thumbnails anymore.
To turn the feature back on, repeat the process and check the box ‘enable google new tab page’
Cheers!
