That in turn caused a stress fracture in the plastic around the lcd. I did not drop it. I did not slam the lid. I did not try to open it to far open. I did not close the lid on anything. Yet the hingle are broke and I have pieces of the hinge rattling around in side. Toshiba say that this is NOT cover and that it is physical damage. I tried customer relations they said there was nothing she could do. What do you expect? I only paid $900 for the laptop and it’s not even a year old. If you know of someone I can talk to please let me know. Otherwise I would not recommend buy Toshiba. So far they have crappy customer service and relations.
