I just purchased a Sony VAIO VPCCW21FX for my boss at his request
Laptop seems ok but the touchpad doesn’t work correctly
The slightest load on the laptop and the mouse movement is extremely erratic it will skip across the screen in 1 inch jumps
I opened task manager and all 4 cores have almost no load on them but yet it is a chore just trying to click on windows min max close buttons the mouse will pass the spot to click on and you move it down to click and it jumps past after 30 seconds I plugged in a mouse and that seems to work
I worked with tech support form Mexico nice change from India
They had me uninstall the mouse and reboot then second level support had me restore the laptop wiping out a days work installing all our apps.
Same deal even in safe mode mouse UN controllable
Not acceptable
Support will come out and service the laptop in 3 to 4 days I don’t have a lot of confidence this will do any good
I just want to give it back and get something else
I purchased this computer in February, it is a really nice computer. It is perfect for everything I need it for. The only problem is, sometimes it will freeze up. When I am at work and I get up and leave the computer, I come back and it has gone into sleep/hibernation mode… I move the mouse and it comes right back up. Then it starts going really slow. If I click refresh on the internet browser it will take 10 minutes just to refresh the page. I try to close the browser and it takes forever to close. Not just the internet browser, so I know its not the internet. I have to hold down the power button to turn it off, because if I try any other way it will take forever. After a reboot, it works just fine. I have read several reviews where people were having the same problem. This should not happen after paying as much as I did. I could have bought an HP and it would not have done that. I am very upset with Sony.
